The NASA Education Sandbox
The NASA Education Sandbox is an annual meeting of scientists, engineers, and educators to review and generate ideas, materials, and plans for K-12 STEM education. The goal of the Sandbox is to produce products, including an open-source, online toolkit of resources, for use in educator professional development.
The 2009 Sandbox focused on solar system science and exploration and was held at the Goddard Space Flight Center from June 2 - 4, 2009. Check back here for more information soon.
The 2008 Sandbox at Penn State University focused on the topic of lunar exploration.
